Mass deportation is not impossible. President Eisenhauer did it in the 50's - we just don't have any candidates of his caliber. We can do anything we set our minds to. It was Lenin who said 'a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth'. The lies about mass deportations and jobs Americans won't do proves it.

I would not hold my breath. This problem is far from new and we can't get our current laws enforced. We have laws on the books that will fine employers, yet they are rarely used. I think that as long as big money is involved, we will see little to no meaningful reform. Cheap labor is a big plus to industry, and it is a money game. The politicians need the deep pockets to get elected and will do what they can to pay the favor back. This goes for both sides of the aisle. Until we are able to make the politicians beholden to the public, we face an uphill battle. We need massive campaign finance reform.
oh, thats why maybe 2 or 3 candidates are against reform and nobody supports mass deportation...even Tancredo admits mass deportation is impossible.

Yes, Illegals days are numbered. Sooner or later we will have to enforce our laws, we wont have A choice.
We need to keep the pressure up on our elected Reps. Remember, they'll be on vacation/in their home districts for the entire month of August, so hammer those offices with emails/faxes.

The politicians have backup plans for when the voters start to get it through thier thick skulls that they're being screwed over. The first is to lie. You say you're against illegal immigration, but you consistently do nothing to stop it. That's been working pretty well for the last 40 or 50 years. If that wears thin, then you have the fail-safe: both parties nominate pro-illegal candidates. One or both my lie about that, but, whether you see through it or not, you have no one to vote for.
Yes but it seems it will be done on a state wide policy rather than a federal program. I believe that all states will openly reject these illegals and then it will be a matter of local rulings and I have to say their days are numbered. Deport all illegal aliens now!
Building a fence is only part of the solution. The main reason they come here is because it is a better place for them. We need to change that but at the same time not degrade our citizens standard of living. How do we do this? Well here is an idea.
The first time an illegal is caught he is shipped back to his country and issued a warning. If he is caught a second time in the United States. CONGRATULATIONS!!!, You are the newest recruit to the newly formed United States Foreign Legion!! Here you will be given training, skills, and in the course of your 8 year sentence, a chance to use those skills in such exotic places as Baghdad, Kabul, Falujia, and a host of other hotspots throughout the planet. Should you survive your 8 year sentence, and have properly assimilated yourself into AMERICAN culture, then you will be granted citizenship, as soon as you DENOUNCE citizenship from your parent country.
This Foreign Legion will be run just as efficiently, and as ruthlessly as it's french counterpart. There will be no "liberal, pantywaist, politically correctness" about it.

It won't happen overnight, but as politicians who are more sympathetic to illegal aliens than citizens are replaced with those who honor the wishes of their legal constituent majority, it will happen. As more and more states and communities pass laws to remove benefits and make it more difficult for illegal aliens to get jobs, the pressure on the federal government will increase. The silent majority is no longer silent. The war in Iraq did not do that, however the illegal alien shamnesty bill and the ill-advised anti-American protesters awoke a sleeping giant.
