well, we don't have tough immigration laws for one. two, it is not hard to get a work visa, which is what they have. basically, you need a sponsor, which his soccer team probably signed on for, and you have to prove you have a job, enough money to support yourself, etc. it really isn't a difficult process to get a work visa. and once you are in the door, then you can go through the much longer process of getting an american citizenship
They all have special status! And it doesn't matter from what country, just like many athlete's do! And high ranking business people!
They are part of the special few!
I think there is an exemption if you are here for business reason. I think a company has to sponser him. THere is another exemption for the rich. They have guaranteed employment and are fiscally independent, thus, not a drain on the economy. If you were in a similar tax bracket it wouldn't be too hard for you to go to England/the UK.
