How many times do we have to go through this, even the "native Amricans" migrated here, we the US are just the first one to make laws against anyone coming here.
Your prejudices are very apparent in your post.read my last answer and educate yourself.The Indians also migrated from another Continent.There were well over a hundred different tribes.They all spoke different languages,had different customs.They were not peaceful before the arrival of the settlers .Since the Indians did not believe that one could own the land,they professed no claim to it.There was no central government so there were no central laws against immigration.then.A war between the two factions ensued and the settlers/immigrants won. The Indians and settlers alike lost many
lives in the battle.
My ancestors came to this nation in 1702.They were merchants from Germany.They all came at one time on one ship.Since that day my family have all been native born Americans just as all native born legal Americans of all colors are.
There were no laws against immigration in 1702 so my ancestors were not illegal.The laws were first made in 1800s and were simply a few exclusionary ones for certain people from certain country's.Not until 1924 were laws passed that curtailed mass immigration.
I don't think you understand what is going on here. We aren't afraid... many people are angry that illegal aliens are here in the U.S. and don't have to pay taxes and social security and etc. because "they don't exist". They live here without the same restrictions we have...

I cannot answer this question under the circumstances given in the details regarding we are all illegal if not native american. I am a huge supporter of native american rights, but I am not here illegally, sorry.
The reason I see we are scared, or better yet, obsessing on illegals from Mexico is that our own economy stinks. When the economy was doing well, we just sort of ignored it.
As far as other illegals are concerned, we are suffering mass paranoia about middle eastern immigrants.

As far as I'm concerned it's not fear, it's disgust. You try going to your local health department one day. Most people there can't speak English. When I was pregnant with my son I couln't afford prenatal care and the health department helped me with it since it was an EXTREME situation..... They get health care for free all without all the things that I had to go through. I had filed several times for help and could never get it, so the health department helped me.... they never filed or if they did file they got it first try. They ride off of our government because they can claim low income levels since most of them get payed "under the table" and their incomes aren't reported. They get healthcare, welfare, and earned income credit just because they come over here while pregnant so their child is a natural born citizen. Don't you think that it would be easier for those who are LEGAL citizens to get financial help in a crisis if they weren't taking all of the money for themselves? Their children also get free education that they don't pay for. Why doesn't it make you mad that your tax money is paying for them to live off of our government while you work for an honest days pay (i'm assuming). If they are getting payed under the table, so not paying taxes, isn't all of this stealing? Try living in my situation and you would understand. I would have no problem if they would just make an effort to learn english and become legal citizens. People from the middle east do it every day. I have so much more respect for them. I also think that it's dumb to say that if you aren't native american you are illegal. They migrated here as well. As for a fence on the Mexican border, well that is dumb too. It will just create more revenue for the Mexican ladder companies. In my opinion if they don't want to try to come here legally, then they aren't here for good reasons. Why else would they not try to fit in with society? They know that they have bad intentions and don't want to be caught. They are responsible for a good majority of the drug trafiking in the US. It's pretty sad that they have driven us to wanting to create a physical border between our countries.

I am native American, as I was born here. But I do know which people you are referring to. I am kin to them also. We are all financially supporting illegal immigrants, and we do object to it. It has nothing to do with being scared, but having our rights (and our money!) stripped from us and given to illegals. We are tired and angry, or haven't you noticed the increasing enforcement of our immigration laws? BTW--I'd like anybody to just try putting any of us somewhere we don't want to be. That will be the day the invaders get what's been coming to them for a while.
