Are Latin nations poor because they make babies even when they can't feed (much less educate) them?

Japan, Germany, China, Singapore, Switzerland, and many others are rich today because they discourage rampant population growth and promote efficient, automated production methods.

Most Latin countries are victims of their own culture that apparently believes the more the better no matter what.

China instituted the one-child policy and within 6 years, class sizes dropped from over 100 to under 15 students per teacher. No fighting over books, pencils, Bunsen burners, computers, etc.

Americans of Mexican decent (who refuse to be called "Mexican-Americans because they are FIRST Americans) detest reproductive irresponsibility and pin the failure of Latin countries squarely on its effects.

Answer:
Yes. Sad but true.

There's a new year-long birth control pill in use.

If those countries required kids to use it from the onset of puberty till age 25 or till they had a marketable, high-tech skill that would compete with any Asian, European or other nation, none of them would need to go elsewhere to make a better life for themselves.
Poorest people in USA also have remarkable reproducibility. and its not only in Latin America. All Africa reproduce as thou there is no tomorrow (which might be the case for africa).
Latin American countries are poor because the have corrupt governments and racist stratified societies.
This is way too funny to answer..LOL!

But, it won't stop others...yikes here it comes!
Its all about the corrupt country, and the don't care what their people do, thats why Mexico actuallly has instruction books they give their people on how to illegaly come to the US.
the only country that i know of that is popping out the baby's is Mexico. they would rather bring helpless baby's into this world who will end up starving and dieing.
No they are poor because they were colonized nations. Spain in particular went in and simply took natural resources. The difference between the US and Latin America's colonization is that we had a mercantile system all ready in place whereas Latin America was simply plundered for its resources. Those countries you quoted were never colonized.

Having lived in some of the poorest areas of Latin America, the families do their best to feed everyone. I blame the church, both Catholic and evangelical for not advocating birth control and lack of education which is a symptom of a nation having been colonized.
no they are poor because their country doesnt have a good economy system........& that affects all the people
Latin american nations are mainly poor because of corrupt governments since the 1800s. Because of this they failed to industrialize and are now rather behind more industrialized nations. Racism also does not help much. Japan rapidly industrialized during the late 1800s and so did Germany. China's one child policy has some controversy attached to it. Education in Latin America is not necesariliy the same as it is here. Really you can't compare industrialized nations with developing nations because they are in totally different situations.
Yes. Overpopulation can hurt an economy. I can't help but laugh at the following:

Americans of Mexican decent (who refuse to be called "Mexican-Americans because they are FIRST Americans)

LMAO! My ancestors never hunted buffalo with Mexicans. There was no tribe called Mexican before the Spanish arrived. Such uneducated arrogance, and ignorance of American history.
The basic reasons are socialist government and overpopulation.

Greedy corporate criminals make billions in loans which are designed to fail and create permanent debt burdens. Almost always these loans are disguised as gifts or economic incentives or modernization projects.Sold to the people by socialist leaders. Settlers in the Amazon will work night and day to slash and burn millions of dollars of exotic hardwoods, animals and birds borrow a couple thousand for crops that grow poorly and repeat the same cycle all over again.

Its wrong for us to abuse them but they have to accept responsibility for overpoulating and making bad choices.

Perhaps if we admit our part them we can work together and have prosperous trading partners and nice places to vacation or perhaps even move to.
Yes, I put the blame on their out of control reproduction which is the fault of the Catholic Church and their low standard of education. Most people in educated countries limit their family size to what they can afford and don't start their families until they are economically able to afford them.
no they are poor because they have a corrupt gov who doesn't care about the people...and it isn't jsut mexican countrys..........why do we have so many on welfare here? and b4 we blame mexicans they have to be able to prove they are legal in the us before they can get help so you guys can't use that one .......and why don;t we sterilize the babypoppers meaning anyone with over 2 kids on assistance and always have been ?.........oh_hell
Babies have absolutely nothing to do with the poverty of Latin American nations. It has a lot more to do with the geopolitical and economic environment in which the countries exist in.
it's because of the moronic Catholic notion that avoiding children is sinful. Yes, Latin Americans take this belief seriously, so they just keep having babies.
The countries you mentioned (Japan, Germany, China, Singapore and Switzerland) have a thing in common: they're secular. they wiped their behind with religious ideas and threw it in the back seat, which is why their standard of living improved (or improving, as is the case with China).
