My family have plans to migrate to Australia. Is there a law that protects migrants rights in Australia ?
Answer:
G'day,
Raven just do not know where the Philippines is. I dun even think that he know that there's a country called the Philippines :p
Mate... I live in Melbourne for 16 years as a migrant. I actually got a Philippino living right next to my house and he is a great neighbor I can tell you. Actually almost everyone in the street know him :)
Unfortunately I dun have much experience in Philippine's education system, but if you are applying to enter Australian school, the school will assess the level of education of your child. Sometimes they can put your child into a higher level.
In regards to schools there are 3 choices: Public/Government, Christian/Catholic and Private. Public schools have pretty much the same standard wherever you go and they are the cheapest alternative. You usually just enrolled to the one closer to where you live. The list of government schools are here: http://www.eduweb.vic.gov.au/schoolsonli...
Private are the most expensive, since on top of the tuition fee, you will still have to buy books, uniform, etc. The list for non-government schools are here: http://www.isd.com.au/
I'm not sure about migrant rights that you mentioned. As far as I know, once you are a permanent resident (PR), you got the same treatment almost as Australian Citizen. There are very few differences between a PR and citizen (eg. PR cannot participate in general election, work in government places and few more).
Hope this helps. Good luck for your moving. E-mail me if you have questions abt Australia or Melbourne :)
nope, Australia already told the muslims if they can't accept the way things are there then they are welcome to leave, they are not changing anything for immigrants. they had their laws before they came and will have them when they leave.
Yes we have lots of Philippine people over here and there is not a lot of difference in the school system I use to work in a school uniform shop and they fit in just fine.
Don't listen to people that say Muslims aren't allowed they are we just don't want to change or laws to incorporate Sharia law but that is all but they still are allowed there belief's but most people from the Philippines are catholic.
