He also mows her grass since she can't do it - she's 74 years old and has been smoking cigarettes for 50 years. Actually, all of my neighbors mow their own grass. We don't need illegals for anything. Are these the same people who think I should be locked up for crimes? I was under the impression that there was a legal way to enter the US.Am I mistaken? I have worked around some GREAT ILLEGALS, on many jobs, but there's always resentment of time lost for hiding from INS, police etc... If I enter another country I am expected to have my papers, so why is this different? Many Mexican men I've worked with are masters of their craft so skill is not even a question, nor is the motivation. They are hard workers. But should not be held to a different standard than the rest of the world!!
Mowing the lawn used to be called a chore. It's what kids did to earn their allowance. And the people who didn't have kids did it themselves. It's not some amazing talent that Mexicans possess that make them great landscapers.
And to answer your ignorant question about framing, the only reason people are paid so low is because illegals brought the wages down. Then they're gone, the wages will go back up and Americans will return to doing it, just like they did long before this invasion began.

I believe anyone who is an honest working citizen should be given the chance to become naturalized. Think about this ... as you mentioned so many illegal immigrants perform menial labor for practically nothing. In a way they are paying more than we are.
They live in sub standard homes(if at all) and receive no benefits. They are paid zip and they work much harder than most natural citizens.
Also consider they plant and harvest our food, take care of our children,clean our waste and cator to every whim - for next to nothing.
I know this because my former boss smuggled illegal aliens into New Mexico and it was quite sad.

kid, i cut my own grass, i love to work outside so much, i actually take the lawn mower away from my old man. i grow my own garden. my nephews are in house building, believe me, if the illegals was deported today alot of Americans would do the jobs for a higher wage.
When I lost my job at a bank, I was forced to do temp work. Among these temp jobs was framing at $5 an hour. I did this in Florida and it was hot. I also did landscaping work, mostly laying sod and installing sprinkler systems - not mowing lawns, again for $5 an hour. I did this for almost a year until I found a decent job. I had a college degree and was a US citizen.
The Illegal aliens are doing the best they can. I can't blame them for escaping their corrupt and dysfunctional government to come here, but we don't NEED them. I don't know where you live but I know a lot of great guys who build houses for $8 and $10 an hour. My son is one of them and he is supporting his family on that.
