Its not fair and its scary to other pupils, why should they have to out up with it?
It interupts communication between people and puts a barrier up which is never a good thing!
I am sorry but they live in out country and therefore they should be considerate to our culture and our culture finds people who cover their face to be a threat and so that is why Kids probaly have a negative view of muslims etc..
If the Kids at school could see the faces of these other kids and could communicate maybe they could all be friends!
and so it should be,
they should respect our religion and ways of life,
if we go to thier country we have to respect thiers, so why can't they? and no i'm not racist just stating a fact thats all.
Excellent- about time the minority was forced to respect their new nation and the rights of the majority are upheld above the bleating few.
One hopes that the next step is removal of all visible religious personal ornamentation (Jewish and Christian too) in government schools to reinforce separation of Church and State.
Moreover- one hope that the Socalist indoctrination by stealth of our children will cease and schools will return to teaching children Reading, Writing and Arithmetic- all sadly grossly inadequate these days.

I think it is a reasonable step. There is no requirement for children to cover their faces in Islam.
If we emigrated to a Muslim country, would we be expected to wear the veil? When in Rome...
It is guidance for the schools, the schools will decide their own dress code, so schools that currently allow full face veils as part of faith will continue to be able to do so.
This is about head teachers in other schools not having an individual impose their own practices upon the school where the majority in that school do not think the full veil is condusive to high quality learning.

All veils of that kind should be banned. Look what happened when that terrorist got out the country wearing one.

Good im 100% in agreement !!!! wearing of these full face "masks" should be banned full stop !!! a person with a full crash helmet on is not allowed in certain places !!!! and kids wearing hodies (not full face covers ) are also victimised, and thats just fashion !!!!!!
There is a reason why criminals wear a mask and we know it is to hide their identity so we associate any one wearing a mask with criminality .
You cant become an integrated member of our society if you hide behind a mask .
If your culture is so different to ours you should think about going somewhere where you would be more comfortable .
so they should take the veil off. the school wants be able to know who is behind the mask. If a person wants to live in this country they ought to conform to our laws for the safety and security of all! Motorcyclists have to remove helmets when buying fuel for security reasons so why should Muslims be allowed to hide behind a face mask/veil the concept of hiding their face promotes distance between us and them. How are they going to integrate with our society if they do not even try and mix!!! There is of course the possibility they are going to blow themselves and all around to bits with a bomb attached to them somewhere when playing suicide bomber!!! You know it has happened.

In my school days everybody had to wear an approved school uniform to ensure that we were all the same and that no bullying etc could take place on religious or ethnic grounds.
Its time to realise that ethnic minorities should not be treated any differently from anyone else and likewise should comply with normal UK legislation and dress requirements.
Those that wear alternative forms of dress immediately cause unease among those that comply as it is seen as a benefit or bonus and sets these people apart.

well its a start in the right direction, after all who's country is it ? if we don't want it, we shouldn't be forced to accept it, so before any P.C.'s start shouting about Muslim right, what about MY rights, ? I don't like the way woman hide behind it and i don't like the thought that a terrorist can escape this country by dressing up like a woman. Well, back in the day, boys had to take off their hats when in class, and men had to do the same when indoors. Now inner city thugs, have to remove their do-rags too. If they want to send their kids to public schools, then they must go along with public views. If they want to be veiled, let them go to their own private schools.
Many men in Israel and Orthodox Jews in the USA wear yarmulkes (skull caps) on their heads, but don't make others do so unless they walk into one of their temples. This is similar to not allowing sleaveless shirts when entering church. Let's keep on separating Church and State, otherwise we wind up with a theocracy and we'll all be wearing burqas.
What's comes next, you ask? Hopefully a ban on the Muslim/Jewish/American/African tribes barbaric practice of male gential mutilation: circumcision. Ouch!
In America it took years for the judges to rule that the DMV can force a woman to take off their veil when taking a picture for a drivers license. Imagine what a drivers license is worth if you can't identify the person on it. I just don't understand why people so strict in their belief is willing to move into western countries. I would think religious law would prevent them to be here.
Like someone else here said, "If you don't like this country's culture, customs and laws, please leave!"
I applaud that schools efforts at controlling it's kids. They should not stop here but keep it up.
Profiling is natural and should be used more than it is now. Although not politically correct, it allows for focus on dangerous people.
if it is part of their culture or religion the scools can not stop it but besides that i dont see why someone would wear one to scool anyway.
