no, mexico isn't responsible enough to take care of its own people. sadly, this is just a fact. it is a pathetic, violent, corrupt country with no hope at all.

It's a global economy and Mexico has always been treated as an ugly step childed. We have helped Japan , Korea, India and China build viable economies through tax incentives offered to American companies to invest in those countries and then we buy back the goods that they manufacture there. If Mexico had jobs like that to offer then why would would they want to immigrate here?
The flaw of MExico's government is similar to the flaw I see in the liberal side of our government. Both seem to help the Rich and the poor, but give nothing to the middle class. Mexico's government has a lot of "populist " program, but few to help the poor elevate itself out of poverty.
Actually is the other way, we Mexicans fix USA problems bringing labor. If USA woulnd't need us, they just take people out of here deported, but instead they are considering give legal papers, WHY? BECAUSE THEY NEED US!!! Open your eyes and see how important we Mexicans are for this country, and not only Mexicans, other nationalities too.
we need to fix their problems because as you can plainly see they don't have the problem, we do!! no one is running into their country everyday. the problem is ours, and we should fix it, and how we should do that is we should have invaded Mexico instead on Iraq! take over their country and make it all the us from Canada to cabo. Mexico is a very rich country and we could use the money and the space and besides we already have most of the population over here already lets reap some of the benefits!!
Sorry Daddy, but right after Nafta companies flocked to Mexico but the work quality was so poor the corporations had Asian countries added to 'free trade'agreements to exploit their cheap labor. At this time China wins the 'cheapest labor' awards.
Why does the USA stick its nose into other countries problems, and then offers to rebuild that country at OUR expense?
Thats how it is, none of these other countries are OUR problems yet, our government makes them so.
