Should there be freedom of movement round the world. no visas just payfor your ticket and fly?

Answer:
Ideally, yes! But it would be necessary to bring that in gradually, as they have done with the EU. It would require a lot of changes in rich countries to make them ready. We would have to get used to the sight of poor and desperate people in our streets - at the moment we ignore them because they are "out of sight, out of mind" across a border.

Ultimately, the solution to all these problems is for living standards to be raised in poor countries so that people wouldn't have to give up everything to come to work in richer countries. People who do come and send money to their families back home do help to improve the home economies.

If we are prepared to continue living with global injustice, then global migration is a small price we have to pay; terrorism may be another price, and visas won't stop it - none of the 9-11 bombers were stupid enough to be in the States illegally.
That's an interesting concept when there are people out there that want to blow you up or worse blow us all up.
i dont think dat shud be done. the crime rate wud increase n terrorists wud be able 2 move all around d world in a disguise n the govt wud not be able to keep a track of the no. of immigrants n emmigrants
Not "Right" now.
No.

We have enough trouble with psycho jihadists on planes as it is.
There will be when all the idiots destroy everything.
thats a terrible idea it would cause extreme hatred in the wealthy western nations as many poeple from poorer Countries would move into the richer Countries eventualy bringing them into collapse. There are so many problems with immigration here i the U.K so i can't imagine what it would be like if it were a free-for-all
if it meant for just visiting I agree with you, but as far as residing in a specific country then no.
No way. We'd have to stop giving 'free' education and services to our own people because the poor of the world would flood all countries who subsidize services. There would be wars based on ethnicity and culture and religion....

It would be chaos.
Well, a visa actually is an obsolete form of identification in the days of networked database where the data of citizens of many different countries are globally shared.

In the past, a visa is given as a way to say that the person is trusted enough by a foreign representative of a country.

These days, a visa is given as a way to say that the person have been given extensive background check, which is usually done in under 1 day for the most basic ones.

It should be noted a visa is not a guarrante that the person will be let into the country, the decision on whether or not the person will be let into the country lies in the hand of the immigration officer at the entry point.

As for a free visa visit.

It's courteous to give a note to someone that you will visit that someone in the future, it's also corteous to wait till that someone said it's all right to visit that someone.

Well, a free visa visit should be like that, you sent a message that said that you want to visit, then you wait for a reply regarding your planned visit and if you are given a consent or not.

A free visa visit can also come in the form of you arrive at the entry point and wait till you're allowed in.
