Why do Senators find it so difficult to solve the ILLEGAL immigration problem?

It is really quite simple: penalize those employing illegals, penalize those hiring illegals, cut off all education, health care, welfare, food stamps to illegals. What would be the advantage then to weasel thru to the U.S. Why are we giving them an alternative, at U.S. citizens expense, to invade our Country, steal our resources and condoning this atrocity?

I certainly hope before anyone votes in the next elections they will check our their candidates on this issue and refrain from voting for them. To vote for them anyway is to affirming their position.

Answer:
penalize those employing illegals would mean going after some big businesses. Do u REALLY think politicians would do that??!
Also, by speaking in favor of the illegals..its good for hispanic votes and future to be americans votes
They are trying to please the people who are creating the problem.
the problem is the democratic party is losing votes from the black americans and the are targeting mexicans. thats why they want to legalize all the illegal alians so the can tap into the 17 million immigrants.
Greed!
They have not learned an adequate lesson in Civics...They Can and Will be IMPEACHED and Tried for Treason. Attached to the amnesty bill is the Unification of the United States, Canada and Mexico, dissolving the United States! Has it occured to anyone they have been unduly influenced by Communists?
What you say sounds logical but it is not rational. USA has 12 million illegal aliens, how would it be possible to round up all the illegals, to do that they would have to hire more people. USA always need workers that American would not like to do, or do not want to do, these ilegal aliens provide the workforce, work for little wages, work hard and are family oriented, want a better standard of living compared to what they have in their country, they are dying of starvation, not because they are lazy because there are no education oportunities or employment opportunities. Yes they come to USA to educate their children even though they are uneducated and unskilled they want their children to have better education and employment and other opportunities. They work in bad conditions and accept low wages and when their children get older they will contribute to the economy and pay taxes, they work at an occupation with skills or work in a professioal capacity and improve the economy or perhaps make contributions in many other ways. The parents who accept low wages are herhaps taking a cut in wages in exchange for education to live in this country and get education and better employment opportunities. It is true they are illegal aliens, but not all are bad people, many are hard workers not all are criminals. Criminality is not a national trait, there are also many criminals in USA among the American born who dont know how fortunate they are to be born in USA and with so many privileges they take for granted. These peopl do not take anything for granted, they want the opportuity to work and try their best to stay in same job to make continued salary to support their family.
I seriously oppose illegal immigration, but I also see why the government isn't too quick to act on it.

If they act with the swiftness and severity that the US citizens are calling for (well, a majority of them anyways), the backbone industry of this nation will take a serious financial hit. And this will be one of many that they have had to take in the past.

The agricultural industry - farmers - account for over 70 per cent of the exports this country does. That is a lot of change. And a lot of these farmers are not huge, or making tons of money. Some of these farms are small family-owned, and the farmers sell off chunks of the land when the crops don't make ends meet. They don't have enough money to hire the workers needed to harvest the crops, and if left too long, they rot in the field and they lose the crops. That is a lot of change to lose, and a portion of the annual income for the family. So instead of having to hire workers and pay them the minimum wage, they can hire these people that will not complain or report them for paying very little for the long hours they are working. No paid vacations, no sick pay, no insurance, none of the things one must provide for legal workers in this country.

Do I like it? Not one bit! I think we need to deport all of them ASAP. But that is why the government is dragging their feet and trying to appease both sides of the fence. It sucks, but it is the way it is.
