My mom worked her entire life in america as a nurse, and now she is retired and has been turned down for social security twice. She is not healthy and she has her health care "pending" while she waits for social security. Immigrants who have never worked a day in this country come here and go straight to the medical office and get free health care that my parents have worked for..and what do they get?

In the last election, some immigration numbers were publicized that are causing too much fear in this country.
Yes there are 11 to 12 million Mexicans in this country, but half of them are LEGAL.
Of the remaining 5 to 6 million who are illegal, over 4 million have been here since the 1990s, and half of them since the 1980s.
Point being, its not as if they all arrived here recently.
The entire population of Mexico is just over 100 million. The USA population is 300 million. If the entire Mexican population crossed the border illegally, we'd still have them outnumbered 3 to1.
Most illegal alien workers spend $500.00 for a social security card (somebody else's) to gain employment here. The most overlooked detail being that employers are withholding taxes from them, including Social Security taxes.
I believe we need to build a wall to slow illegal immigration. I believe we should continue gathering up and deporting illegals.
I believe these things, though, for the correct reasons, and I have no fear of illegal aliens. Neither should you.
WE, U.S. citizens try to live by the rules, we work 10-12 hours a day, we take care of our families, we pay childcare, we keep up our property, we support our Troops, we support our schools, we buy and pay for health insurance, auto insurance, homeowners insurance, try to respect our neighbors, keep up or property but now these liberal Senators are burdening us further to accommodate ILLEGAL citizens.

It's already broken my friend. My own local public school in San Jose has gone from a California Distinguished School with an API of more than 900 to less than 700 and is struggling to keep from going lower. This also accompanied by a HUGE number of mexican and south americans who do not speak english. MS-13 graffiti everywhere. Hmmmm. These "good people" are loading up our neighbrohoods with graffiti claiming it as their own? I have a neighbor who has 4 to 5 families living in his house at any one time so he can afford the mortgage, and I cvan tell you they dont have any pride in ownership at all. Every single illegal on my street has a filthy yard. I have had nothing but conflict with them, and have nearly come to blows a number of times. The one LEGAL who lives in my neighborhood keeps impeccable care of his lawn, and his brother is a Police officer. he couldnt be a nicer guy. The whole thing cheeses him too.
At the public school my daughter was assigned to this year by zip code-in a neighborhood of $850K to $1 million dollar plus homes.they wanted to force my kid into spanish immersion, and I refused. I took her to Valley Christian instead. Cost me a fortune. Why am I paying taxes? For Police, Fire, Schools, and Border enforcement according to the papers and civics classes I took in High School and College. Outright lies.
My house is up for sale, and we are leaving San Jose. I wont do business in San Jose at all other than Grocery Shopping. Local buinesses need to stop doing this hiring of slave labor and start being honest and truthful.

So many state that the American government have more than enough money for them to be here, yada, yada. Does anyone realize that the federal government isn't really impacted by illegal immigration? It is LOCAL city and state governments that are hurt. And unlike the US government that can write a check even with no money there, state governments HAVE to remain in their budget each year. They only get so much money each year, and unless they get some major catastrophy in their state to be designated a "disaster area", that is all the money they get. No more. Doesn't anyone see the cities and states now trying to pass and enforce the immigration laws to deal with illegal immigrants? THEY are the ones that are hurt, and they are the ones trying to deal with it. But the US government is willing to look the other way.
Hear the cries from the local governments and DO SOMETHING!! Don't give them a free pass - all that will do is put a bandaid on the cut until we go back in the water - and then it will come off and happen all over again. More immigrants will illegally enter, knowing that in another 20 years they will be able to be "forgiven". And I am waiting for some young lawyer to challenge if we are willing to forgive these crimes due to poverty, then why not forgive all of the drug dealers that are in prison for dealing when that was what they did to put the food on the table for their families. It is going to happen, and the courts are going to have an issue of explaining why we can forgive the illegal immigrants for breaking our laws, when we can't forgive American citizens for essentially breaking the laws because they didn't have the money.

Will they? The process has already started. They are killing our emergency rooms, schools, insurance, etc. It is almost impossible to find a decent, public elementary school here in metro Nashville, because it seems like half of the students don't even speak English. My family has to either pay for a private school ($8,000 per year) or move in to another county where the price of housing is sky high.
