I am currently on a working holiday visa which expires in May 2008. I want to apply for a student visa so that I can get my degree and apply for a work permit. I am currently in a relationship with a British Citizen and want to stay in the UK as long as possible, will probably get engaged but need a option if that doesnt happen quick enough. Help please !
Answer:
The Student visa would be a good option as you would be able to work 20 hours a week during term time. If you enroll in a Degree level course before 1 September you can switch your status in country and will save the high costs involved in going back to your Home Country for Entry Clearance.
You are allowed a 6 month extention on your working holiday visa as far as I know. Getting and changing visas in the UK is relatively easy. Try www.globalvisas.com they helped my brother with his visa issues alot and www.ukvisas.gov.uk has info you can read up on too.
Don't rush into marriage just to get a visa there are many other ways to extend your stay!!
