If you are not American Indian are you an illegal immigrant?

Answer:
legally no, morally yes. But everyone now a days claim to have American Indian blood. As, far as that goes Mexican citizens are a mixture of all kinds of nationality including Indian so shouldn't they be American Citizens?
Immigration laws have changed dramatically since colonial times.
i would think so, but laws have been made for it not to seem like that; how convenient. And how lame "American Indians werent original either" what a bunch a bull..they got here 1st...see how people make excuses for things to go their way. we are all aliens to America, and if youre not native and born here youre born from alien ancestors. stop being in denial. only natives are the ORIGINAL and everyone else came in their land and got comfortable and now claim themselves as the true Americans
Only if you were not born here,,,,,,
Yes, They were here first and didn't give my family permission to live here.
I guess everyone is if you think of it that way.

but i AM american indian, so I dont have to worry about it.
well who was here before the american indians? i doubt they were always there if you want to get technical.
No. We are in the year 2007. Big Difference!
Indians never set immigration laws..how could it be illegal?
No. The fact of the matter is there were no laws at all concerning immigration.
The natives didn't even know the concept.
No law, no violation.
Established law, ILLEGAL!
No. My Grandparents got permission from their country to travel to America & after they passed the requirements to enter & become a citizen of the US, they entered LEGALLY! They had to prove they could read, write, & speak the English language, pass a health exam & pass a test that showed they understood what it meant to be an American Citizen.
No.

So called 'native' americans came here across the Bering straits thousands of years ago. They didn't just appear here by magic.

We're all from Africa.
Could very well be! I like the point of view since it helps to bring perspective to the overall issue.
I was born in America,so are 80% of the people living here, that makes us natives.
No we are just second phase immigrants. Since America has no natives. Our American Indians are just the descendants of the first immigrants.
were all immigrants to the universe haha, but i guess by law no because were born here, but you could argue both ways
Ha ha,no,that's just rhetoric in answer to questions asked repeatedly and answered but with no result. In other words, people lashing out when they feel they are being persecuted and no one will listen to their side.We all do it in some form or other.Call some a name or racist or anti American whatever. No one really means it. It's just better than banging your head against a wall.
I am not an American Indian. I am not an illegal immigrant. What happened 300+ years ago in a different time, under different laws and rules do not apply in 2007.

Go fish.
When the Europeans came, America was pretty much open frontier with thousands of nomadic tribes. No system of government (except perhaps tribal) existed, so no immigration rules were there for us to break.
No one is originally from "America".. Even the American Indians migrated from Asia. We all live here, we all work here, most of pay taxes. Hell, we're ALL Americans.
dude study history-every continent, every country throughout history was conquered by the strongest people of the times..The moral of the story is the Strong survive, the Weak perish. get over it,that's the way it is.by the way not an illegal immigrant, family has been here since the 1774.They helped to make this country great! the original indians were also immigrants and they had no nation.they were tribal fighting each other that's why they lost.
I totally agree fisherman! Everyone else is an illegal immigrant, we as Native people have been fighting terrorism since 1492!
two points, native americans are the real indigenes of this land. everyone else is a sequential immigrant.
No, read the Constitution.

Citizens born in the U.S. are not illegal immigrants.
Legal immigrants are not illegal immigrants.

The only illegal aliens are the ones who aren't citizens who sneak across our borders illegally. They're breaking U.S. Immigration law. Therefore they are illegal.

Anyone born in the USA or who becomes a naturalized citizen are citizens of the United States and are not illegal.
What an original statement. You should be proud of yourself for thinking it up.
What you all are ignoring is that the "winner" is the one who makes the rules and writes the history books. All that means is . . . you are illegals if the winner says you are . . . the end.
OMG, some nut brings this up every day. the answer is NO.
Not if you were born here. And noone in your family was if they came legally.
native americans didnt have immigration laws because they didnt have time to make any seeing as how the europeans slaughtered them before they even knew what was going on. but i think yes. the first immigrants never had any papers so i guess they were undocumented, therefore illegal.
no. we created immigration laws after we conquered the united states.
