British Immigrants in Mexico: Are they assimilating into Mexico's Culture and learning Spanish?
Answer:
No most British in Mexcio are discriminated by Europeans ( from the EU) and by Mexicans who think all british are like benny hill and all women like the burlesque daners.
Yes. All 12 to 20 million of them. And they don't collect welfare, or claim Mexico is part of England, either.
:)
probaly not, but they are probably there for work, arrived legally (followed the rules and didnt sneak across the border), they probably dont demand that the schools be taught in english and i seriously doubt that their children formed little european gangs that kill and sell drugs.
Yes, Mexico isn't quite as accommodating as we here n American are.
why would you want to go there do not tell for hire pay Lol
Well, since most british immigrants in Mexico are retirees and have all the time and money to learn spanish and Mexico's culture, yes.
The majority of (British) expats live in Australia, Spain, the US and other English speaking nations.
A growing number are choosing North America
· 1.3 million ex-pat Brits live in the USA and Canada – same number as Australia
· 24% of Brits in the USA are thought to be pensioners
· 2,500 Britons live part of their year in Mexico
As you can see there are very few British in Mexico, and of those the majority are part timers. I don't know if this is cause to be concerned about assimilating into the culture, or learning spanish. If it were in the Hundreds of Thousands or even Millions then I would say yes Assimilation and learning the language would be of great concern to those citizens living in Mexico.
