We are now run by Johnson's War on Poverty, 1966. The few run the many. All you have to do is figure out how to be a special interest group and they rest of us will pay you to be you.
They haven't done anything but make more money for themselves and others with a similar social status.

Considering the amount of societal privelege that caucasians have--and the fact that it is not apparent to you, must mean that they have done way-too-much.
They've done plenty for the rich ones, and elevated everyone else above the poor ones. Which is why I'm tired of being blamed for their actions just because we have the same color of skin as they do.
Why do you judge an entire race based on the actions of a few,oh that's right I forgot whites are all racist. It's only different if your not white then it's OK to bash another race for the actions of the few.

I'm still hung up on the societal privilege thing some guy posted above me.
I am white but have not experienced societal privilege.
I don't expect my government to do really too much for me. as a white woman I was raised to believe that I will get what I can earn.
My government has kept me safe with a sheriff's dept,fire dept and with a hwy dept.
I have sent my daughter through 9 years of public school which has served her very well.
Societal privilege didin't get me my job or my house. My 2 hands did that, my ambition secured the life I enjoy right now. My skin color had nothing to do with it but my intellect and my energies had everything to do with my position in life.
I feel I am blessed to live in America and have the oppurtunites offered in this great land of ours. Here in America, the freedoms secured to us as Americans offer us the chance to build a future for ourselves with the effort and energies we as individuals put forth.
