I am cuban born in 1977, and im getting married end of this year and just noticed birth cert was missing?

please advise on who to call or where?....ive been trying for months now and im desperate.....all i need is a replacement of it certified....

Answer:
you haven't said where you reside now..are we to assume you're in the US?

Are you in the US? did you family come over here to escape Cuba?

If so, are there relatives back there who are able to go to the facility where you were born? I hope you have a passport - maybe you can get a legal affidavit drawn up for you if you're here in the US - legally....
you need to be more specific, but in general, you would call the records place to the nearest place you were born and get a copy, if not you, you would need to go there and get a copy.... otherwise without more info, it's hard to help...
Go to the court house in the town you were born in. They will have a copy of the birth certificate on record. You should be able to obtain a copy after proving you are the actual person named on the certificate. The clerk of court or county clerk's office may be the place to go. Otherwise, ask at the front desk.
Obtaining a copy of your birth certificate may cost anywhere from $12 to $50 depending on your county.
Or contact the immigration office you had to go to when first entering the country, they may have a copy there. Sorry did not notice the Cuban born part at first.
Hey what part of Cuba are you From?
i just called to get the rules for my state on marriage, and i was told if you have a passport, you don't need the birth certificate. do you have a passport? i would call your country clerk office again, and explain the situation to them.
contact vital records in the area you were born.

good luck
contact the Cuban Embassy in Washington,d.c., start here, but if you have any relatives in Cuba then i would start with them to inquire in Cuba.
