Are you talking about basic immigration or the illegal aliens that are streaming in. I'm cool with immigration, but illegal immigration I believe the fence needs to go up, and shoot on site, and rev up the buses to ship people back to their point of entry.

The US has a working immigration process that is getting the job done. The problem is illegal immigration. We need to know who is coming into this country and for what reason. We have to control our southern boarder.
Perhaps it should depend on the amount of people in our country, if it's considered overpopulated, and there are the hungry, and the homeless who can get no help, I would agree that it's time to close the borders.
when you divide what we spend per head on illegals it comes out to approximately $20,000 per head.
If we give each police officer $10,000 for every illegal he turns in we can save money, help local police departments, and remove the illegals. It's either that or find a politician with guts like president Eisenhower and ship em all back like he did in the 19.50s

If you mean the ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS: to start with jail the employers that hire these criminals, deport ALL the criminals and their families, build a 20 foot electrified wall along the Mexican border and tell the Mexican government what they can do with themselves (use your imagination).
As for LEGAL immigrants, lower the numbers they allow in. We can't handle the inflow!
1. We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.
2. All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.
3. All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.
4. No "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" (for "deport") and it's back home baby.
5. Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.
