Can I burn mexican flags on may1 in public?
Answer:
Legally yes, unless what the Mexicans did to our flag was just another special privilege.. You would still probably be arrested for a hate crime, though, while a Mexican burning a United States flag would be left alone. You would need a tremendous amount of support from your fellow citizens, and hopefully you'd get it. If they can burn our flag, and remove ours to replace it with theirs, then hang ours upside down under it, then we have the right to show them what we think of it. They should be eternally grateful that we didn't show them some other way.
If it is illegal to burn anything in public there are other things you can do to the flag. I'll let you use your imagination. For those of you who think it's disrespectful, you are right. But how long are we supposed to turn the other cheek? They can do it and it's freedom of expression. If we do it we're disrespectful and rude. WTF!
Sure you can, there is no law that says you can't, it's a form of expression. Just don't do it inside a building.
Absolutely, they may try to get you for starting a fire without a permit or some other crap, just don't stick around after you do it.
I am sure you could but I doubt it would help resolve the issue of illegal immigration.
as long as it wouldn't make you mad that everyone else in the world burned the US flag, it's up to you.
sounds like a really hateful act to me, and not really worth your time. i generally try and not act in a way that i wouldn't want others to treat me.
Sure as long as it is
1. Your flag
2. Does not violate any local fire or safety ordnance
3. No one decides to run you in for inciting a riot
Other than that you should be OK
PS Be careful around burning things.
Be sure you have a permit. Otherwise I think it's OK.
I wouldn't do it standing alone on most American street corners unless you have a lot of burly friends that anti's.
Good luck!
Why are you such a Mexican hater?
Not in Mexico
Why May 1st? Just be careful you don't get that red neck burned in the process!!
YES in the USA
Do it on May 5th more impact
sure u can do whatever u wanna do but dont. doesnt matter how much u hate them but its still a country flag with a population that u have no idea about them, maybe u have had some stupid of them in ur life but it doesnt mean that they all same
You would have to check with your local ordinances regarding fire in public. You also have to check if it is legal to burn ANY flag in whatever State and City you live in.
Also, if you are allowed to do it, that is exercising your freedom of speech (I think). However, this particular action you are hollering "I'm a bigot, look at me!" Do you want that?
Why would you want to disrespect a nations symbol like that?
I despise seeing my nations flag desecrated and I'm sure others do to.I think its a very despicable act and very cowardly for anyone to burn another nations or their own flag.
I respect the USA,its my home. and I would fight anyone that I saw doing that to the American flag.I'm small and I might lose but I still would stand up for my nations flag.
Don't burn any flags its just not the right thing to do for anyone.
Wait and do it on May 5th.
Our flag is burned in other countries every day. The Mexican flag is not our flag. It holds no patriotic symbolism for Americans. They burn ours in Mexico, we should feel free to burn theirs here. If they are so loyal to Mexico, they need to go there.
There is no law that says you can't burn a flag, even OUR OWN flag. You'd be in deep do-do if you burned an American flag in the USA, though. I'd bust your @zz for that myself. But, Mexico's? Go for it.
I say go for it. I was sitting in baghdad the day i saw some of the day without illegals marching and carrying flags of their home country, not wanting to carry the flags of the country they so want to be a part of. I saw the pictures of the mexican flag flying higher than the american flag. I saw the picture of the mexicans turning our flag upside down, in the US. I saw this why i was fighting for my country, and i feel we are losing our country. I dont care where you come from, if you want to be a part of this country, wait your turn, pay your taxes and learn english.
I've seen enough of people burning my flag, they can endure you burning theirs. While your at it, burn a koran while your at it too. Videotape it, that would be sweet.
Yes you can. There was a court case from the 70's- I think- It basically said you have the right to burn your own property. I could be wrong but there is a court case that ruled for the guy burning the flag.
Absolutely, sounds like a great idea. Maybe i'll join in.
I'll have my camera ready! Can't wait!
