Should some one get out of usa to get their green card, or is it a trap?
Answer:
I can understand why you may not trust the INS, but when it comes to the green-card/naturalization process there are no "traps". The INS may raid a place where illegals are working, but once you are in the system there aren't any "tricks". It is a long, bureaucratic, legal process, but because you are going through the system you should be safe. If you don't under stand it, or feel suspicious, you should hire a lawyer. For $2,500.00 you should be able to find a good lawyer who will answer your questions, organize your paperwork, go with you to interviews, and settle your worries.
Bureaucracy in the US is normalized and transparent, unlike many other countries, our government offices are not here to "trick" you, steal your money, or "trap" you; as long as you aren't breaking the law and keeping up with the paper work, you should be fine.
Yes, in many situations now you must leave the US to get your Green Card. It is weird and harsh, but not a trick.
PLEASE ELABORATE ON YOUR QUESTION, GO WHERE? WHY?
SO WE CAN GLADLY ANSWER YOU!
Can't you just pay a fine? Yes, can you just pay the fine then you won't have to go. I know someone who paid a $1000.00 in 97 so they did not have to go to the border to do what ever it was. So now I do not know. This person had a very good immigration attorney. So i don't know if that had something to do with it.
Good luck anyway!
Yes, but it is not a trap, unless you have something to worry about. You all would need to, no matter what country from, is to go back to your original country and apply there, it is the first procedure in getting legalized....go for it...good luck man!
