How to get G-4 while in AOS (Green Card) process??

Vital stats: 25, Single, A-1 visa, AOS (485) in process, lived
in the USA for 13 consecutive years. Own no home or assets in "home
country, direct family lives in Europe.

One of my dream jobs has been offered to me at one of the more
prestigious organizations in the world. It involves receiving a G-4. I
am unemployed, and I have been for 6 months.

I am currently 'visa-less'. My A-1 expired in July 2006, but I filed
for an AOS/Green card before it expired. I have an EAD that is valid
until August, 2007. My will-be employer says that I can't use that
visa because it's 'tied to the A-1'. Now, I haven't informed the
employer that I am in a pending Green Card application.

The application has been rejected once, it's currently in appeal -
we filed the 290-B for my AOS case. Lawyer had said a G-4 is ok if I file I-508 waiver of diplomatic rights. Advance Parole takes 3-6 months to process. I need to exit for 4-5 days so I can start work in 3 weeks.
