What happens to illegal immigrants once they get caught?
Answer:
These are the facts. They're apprehended by the BP (Border Patrol), & taken to Detention & Deportation. There, the paperwork is set up in a file by a clerk of Immigration & Naturalization. The clerk then reads the file to see if there's a criminal record/medical condition. These files are given to the supervisor. During this time, the aliens (correct term) are housed in a facility adjacent to BP & INS offices. There are really tall fences topped with concertina wire, no pleasant plants, & cement-block bldgs. The non-criminal alien goes to Immigration Court, where a mass hearing is held & they are ruled on as illegal & subject to deportation. They go back to the custody of BP, & are deported. Along the border, a bunch are bussed to their country & seen to enter it.
nothing cause are lazy goverment wants them here you can thank bush for that
They are placed in detainment centers, processed and then deported.
majority will be sent back to the country of origin, exception if that person get death threat if this person back to their country of origin
I don't think anything happens to them... :( How else can an illegal kidnap, molest and murder a child, when they were arrested in 1990. Nothing happened to that psycho... No deportation, no nothing. :(
If they are caught by the Border Patrol. They will be detained, and sent back.
IF they are caught by local/state law enforcement. Jumping a fence may be suspicious, but it's not a crime in itself. They get a job and go to work once the get to a friend or family's house.
Such is life in the Understanding Suckers of America.
I'm not really sure what happens but I didn't think anything happened to them....Good question though!
As for mid centurydesigner says.If they have a record here, then they will be held in jail until completing sentence if not they are just taken back and they return as many times as they can until they are not caught.
As for the person that said about the kidnapper, molester and murderer, there are plenty of our people that do the same thing with our own people and flee to MEXICO.So you can not base yourself on that.It isn't right nor here nor there.
They just raided a beef packing plant in my area. Most of them got prison time for stealing identities.
Have you ever tried to bring a homing pigeon to Mexico?
They are initially arrested and housed in our jail system, until deported. And then after weeks of paperwork and such, they are deported back to their counrty. INS handles the paperwork of the illegal immigrant. Depending from what country they are from depends on the longevity of their stay in our prison. It can take months.
In Miami, there main detention center is named Chrome...they detain them there, then process them out of the country. If there are any outstanding warrants on them, they will usually get processed there first depending on the kind of infraction they broke...most of the time, if it is a misdeamor, they will drop it to get them processed out of the country sooner. As far as what happens when they leave the country who knows except in the case of Mexicans, they just come back like a bad penny
Prosecute jail then deport. No more catch an release. Every day planes fly them back to there country of origin.Soon more states will be enforcing the laws & there won't be enought lawyers & ACLU & pro groups to keep up.The word will get back to there countrys no more Amnesty & freebees from the USA.Self deport is the best as if deported than very it's hard to get here legally. Why stay, can't play ,No pay
Nope
Nope
i think that they deport them back to their country. who cares as long as they're not here taking our jobs and other benefits.
I have no idea if their countries of origin are harsh with them or if they give them a new plan for sneaking to America.
They are just put back in mexico.
they may or may not go to jail, mostly not
they have to wait a long time now to reenter, but they can never gain full citizenship status because they were deported.
