How about we jail them for manslaughter aggravated by intentional fraud, illegal entry, aggravated battery with a vehicle, and conspiracy to commit murder? Mandatory jail time for illegals for drunk driving and adding all the other crimes they have committed will go a long way to limit the influx of illegal immigrants. I'd rather pay to jail them than pay to keep them for the rest of their lives while they have babies and demand rights.

The laws have to change. People need to PUSH to have the laws changed. Problem is that this is considered to be politically incorrect. Well, boo-hoo! I am sick of it as everyone else is.
The laws have to be changed at the state level.
I know that here in Minnesota, we find illegals all the time but law enforcement can't do much at their level without INS around so we just have to let them go on their merry way.
There has to be some changes made. I am also sick of hearing about illegals ruining so many peoples lives.
There also just has to be something done about the drunk driving laws in general. Way too many people get away with doing that for way too long. If you are caught ONCE, that should be your final warning. If you ever get caught again there should be NO more driving ever after that.
Maybe we should start branding people for it.. I'm all for public humiliation. We should bring that back along with chopping off fingers for various levels of theft.
Can we deport child molestors and rapists too (regardless of status)? I mean it is not like if they are legal, the rape won't occur.

DUI is a major problem every where but it makes it worse when the person behind the wheel is illegal especially for the loved ones left behind. The question they ask but get no answer is Why? why was this person who was not suppose to be here behind the wheel of a car Drunk. Because its Easy , easy to get in, easy to get work, easy to get free medical & easy to get drunk. Until we pass laws to make it harder for illegals to do these things nothing will change.
The problem I have is that we can not track illegals like we can citizens, Virginia Beach also had a similar situation happen recently - VB is (or maybe was) a sanctuary city and this particular illegal had another DWI earlier in the year in Chesapeake, VA but because of the fact that you can not track illegal aliens he slipped through the cracks and he ultimately took the lives of 2 teenage girls. A bill was introduced (well re-introduced) into the house of representatives HR 1335 - To improve sharing of immigration information among Federal, State, and local law enforcement officials, to improve State and local enforcement of immigration laws, and for other purposes. Maybe it will pass so that we can at least keep track of felons.
I realize we have drunk drivers that are citizens BUT THEY CAN BE TRACKED and be refused driving privileges and other punishments.

Why is it that illegals, because they are here illegally, always get bashed for things americans do 10 times as much as they do? Is our drunk driving problem going to get better if they leave? MOST likely not! At least not enough to matter. People die everyday from drunk drivers, american, or mexican, or whatever nationality they are. Let's focus on the real issues here. The reason people hate illegals is because they don't pay taxes. No one cares about anything else. It's just that they don't pay taxes, and they get free healthcare, and welfare, or blah blah blah. Those are more valid then constantly blaming all illegal immigrants for the few crimes that dumb people commit. They are just as human as we are.

if we were to get rid of drunk drivers (which would be a great idea), we would have to get rid of all of them regardless of their nationality...NOT BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE fair BUT IT WOULD BE MORE LOGICAL! fiy...getting rid of part of the problem does not get rid of the entire problem...
Terrible accidents happen all the time. I have to say that NO ONE SHOULD DRINK AND DRIVE. Regardless of his status he needs to pay the price.
That is why we need to focus on getting an immigration reform, one of the criteria would be a background check. Once we know who are the criminals they can then be deported.
