What are the pros and cons living in Australia than in the US?

Pro: No illegal Mexicans!
Con: No good Mexican food!
Anywhere is better than the US.

I'm an aussie, now living (immigrant) in the US with my USC hubby. Given a choice, Australia hands down. Personally I think the US is over-rated and has no where near the freedoms it once did. Fortunately Australia still has the freedoms that the US once did.
The biggest difference is population. Australia has only approx. 20 million people compared to the US approx. 300 million. Consider also that Australia's land mass is slightly bigger than the US. Open space, yeaaaaaaaaaah.
Australia also has a medical system (medicare) that is available to all.
Australia also has........
More relaxed lifestyle.
Better social security benefits.
Safer to walk the streets.
A political system open to less corruption and where Australians get more of a say through referendums. Voting in elections is compulsory.
You don't need a college education to earn a decent wage.
Just as many, if not more opportunities, for ALL Australians regardless of education.
The above are only a sample of the reasons I feel that Australia wins hands down over the US.
