How can i move to Los angeles or New York if im a british citizen?
Answer:
You can live there for six months at a time if you own property there but you cannot work unless you have:
A work visa
A substantial business which employs Americans and generates a minimum level of turnover
A permanent residents visa ("green card")
A diplomat visa (working for the UK government).
You could do it by air or land..... but make sure, you let the Immigration Dept know of your plans or you will become another illegal in our country. They will give you all the information you need.Good luck.
You dont. You are far better off staying home. These are very large cities that require very large income to live.Average rent per month? $800.00 plus! for a sleeping room.besides there is a very hi crime rate with the immigrants here.Dont listen to everyone who says USA is all peaches and cream! The US has just spent $360 billion on iraq so if you come here dont expect a red carpet.
Why would you come to America? Especially if you're English?
Listen, I live in New York and it's tough now. It's tough everywhere. If you're coming here with some setup job and place to stay, yeah, go ahead. But if you're coming here cuz you saw some old time classic musical from the 50's that had American paved with shite on the streets .. wake up. It's not true.
