Does the very fact of Tancredo running for Pres shorten the Dems 'window to comprehensive immigration reform?'
With Tancredo in the running for President, however, and his resulting high profile, isn't election season on this topic already open?
Do you think this will have an impact on how things play out in Congress?
Answer:
We can hope so, I like Tancredo, but also Duncan Hunter, and here in Iowa we have Steve King, all good men wanting whats best for America.
I don't think it will make much of an impact in Congress. They have shelved this issue time and time again. We'll see when they actually get to it and make some decisions.
I support for a candidate to shut down the borders and all immigration itself!
Yes. The Dems assume the reason they are in power is because Americans want out of the Iraq war. That is part of the reason, but not all. In case you haven't noticed there are many Americans that are EXTREMELY angry about our country being invaded by illegal aliens, and the pilfering of tax dollars by people who don't even belong in this country. This country is based on "by the people, for the people" and many of the anti-illegal alien people want to be heard. Their voice has been suppressed by the fact that the illegal alien invasion is such a hot political topic, nobody has has the guts to address it. Tancredo has the guts and has rode the topic all the way to Congress. He will have a major impact on the next election even if he doesn't run because of his known hard-line stand against illegal aliens. His endorsement of any candidate will be noticed by many voters. If he runs for President, expect a landslide of votes from extremely angry Americans upset with governments unwillingness to do something about the destruction of it's culture, murder of it's citizens, and pilfering of billions of tax dollars. Tancredo has the power already to draw many votes. He knows it. That makes any politician notice. If he runs, expect the same wave he rode all the way to Congress, but it will be one very big wave indeed.
Yes, the Democrats will be under pressure now to act on the issue of immigration reform but I don't think it will be in line with what Tancredo wants.
I think it may embarrass a certain GOP Senator from Arizona that is really a Dem because he is so out of tough from what most Americans want.
Unfortunately it may make Congress act quickly to get what they want in spite of what Americans want.
I WILL vote for Tancredo!!!! He's about the ONLY one with enough GUTS to close our borders and DEPORT the illegals!!!
