The basic information you should know is simple: somebody has to offer you a job, after this if you accept their offer the company will get you a work permit, it depends on what you do, there are A LOT of scam artists in Mexico and United States, so PLEASE make sure the offer is real, somebody who offers you a Canadian job shouldn't charge you a cent, it doesn't matter the reasons they give you, they might sound realistic like " I need the money to get your work permit because the company doesn't pay for it" , "to deal with Immigration" etc, IT IS A SCAM!, don't fall for it or you'll lose your money. A real company will pay the Immigration fee and will get you the work permit; after all they are trying to hire you to GIVE YOU money in exchange for your services not to take money away from you. See what I mean?.
If you have a profession, if you are a doctor, a dentist or something like that then the best way to go is by contacting companies that might be interested in hiring you, you have a big plus and that's the fact that you obviously speak two languages, in America we have recruiters, they are basically people who take your resume and try to get a job in Canada, then the company takes care of the work permit. But if I were you I'd look online for well established companies, don't go for "el cheapo" company where they swear they'll get you a job for a fee, it's a scam!. If it sounds too good to be true...you know the rest.
There is also the "point system" in Canada, you should look it up, it works if you are REALLY, COMPLETELY sure you want to move there, Immigration will ask you to validate your credentials, a BIG fee, a test and some other stuff, and then you need to have a company hiring you, it's a LONG process but it might work for you.
