My husband used me and accused me more than once of abusing him and I want to know can he still use me?
Answer:
If you were married for less than two years then he was a conditional resident. In order for his conditional status to be removed he is going to have to provide proof that he is still legitimately married to you,i.e joint bank accounts, bills in both your names etc.If he does not provide sufficient proof, then he will have to be interviewed in person and you would also have to be present and answer some questions. If you are not present ,he will more than likely lose his legal status.
He would have to prove active abuse for him to
have a legal leg to stand on.
Generally, with immigration matters, if person
out of the married couple claims that it isn't
a marriage, then it would be considered
insufficient for marital bonds to keep him in
country.
Well if he got his conditional its tough to do anything. Do that:
1. Make infopass, go to USCIS and explain this to officer, say it was
Marriage fraud,
You want Divorce, explain that he is not cooperating.
He is abusing you threatening you and angry against US
Go to police, try to make restriction order. Or domestic violence. You can say he hit you (if he did). With conviction it would be very difficult to do.
If you don't want him to get his green card using his marriage with you as the support, write to the Immigration department and appraise them of the position.
sounds like a nightmare, divorce and move away I should!
Only if you let him
send a letter to the fbi and tell them that you fear your husband is working with al qaeda. done.
No... what he is doing is illegal and he can be deported for it.
If it were me in your position I would make it my hobby to get him deported, lots of the above have given you positive advice take it and act on it.
File the divorce papers! That's the thing the immigration officials are waiting for to refuse him a green card and to deport him.
