Oh yes, this getleman is running for president by the way. I would give careful consideration before jumping the gun on picking a presidential just yet. Of course that"s just my opinion. I'm leaning towards this man real hard.

Ron Paul has been running for president for something like 20 years. I remember he was running back in 1988 when I first learned about libertarianism. I wish he would win. The government messes in too much of our daily lives. It should protect people and not get into much else.

Unfortunately, he's far too sane and would actually do something constructive towards fixing the problems our country faces, so no way in hell he's getting the job..

Well, I have my own thoughts about the housing prices, having to do with anticipated overimmigration, for one thing, then uncertanty in that regard. It is true that the Fed ran the interest rates, but that let people buy homes who otherwise couldn't and I'm not sure I'm against it. Those subprime loans, whether 'predatory' or just plane 'stupid' are another matter. The risk on them was obviously high, and it is coming home to roost.

The excess of liquidity does have to do with the housing bubble, however we need to remember that after the attacks on the twin towers the prospectives looked very gloom, and that's why they decided to reduce the interest rates. If we can increase the productivity by using technology and a very liberal immigration policy, probably creating a NAU similar to the EU, the deflationary effect from both things will absorve some of the effects of this inflation created by excess of liquidity.
right now tancredo has my vote. unless some one can do better then him.
