Please read this! What do you think?

If you are anti illegal, anti immigrant or anti amnesty or anti whatever, do you go to church? What do you think about this?

When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him.The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native born. Love him as yourself. Leviticus 19:33-34

Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother or an alien living in one of your towns. Pay him his wages each day before sunset because he is poor and is counting in it. Otherwise he may cry to the Lord against you and you will be guilty of sin. Deuteronomy 24:14

Answer:
yes doom will come to all the bigots
I love it! So simple and beautiful.
shuuuuuuuut up already. thats what I think.
Somehow or other, this Scripture is widely ignored.Go figure.
Thats all fine and good but how about this. Wait your turn in line. follow the law. apply for the green card. do it legally. Not illegally. Mexicans should not get any special treatment because there are more of them. My wife and i are from Taiwan. We had to wait 8 years to get our cards. We did it legally. We waited. Yes it was long but worth the wait.
Well Said! we all or our ancestors were immigrants once upon a time, I understand stands on illegal immigration but that's where it ends.

Romans 13
Submission to the Authorities
1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

This means the illegals are wrong in coming here, they are breaking our laws.

Stop twisting scripture to suit your needs and wants.
I understand what you are saying. The system we have now is messed up and we have to solve it. The only reason we need better reform is the illegal immigrants not paying taxes to support the benefits of living here. We are having major issues with schools, police and health care. It is not all their fault but they are not helping either. I say legalize them and get them into the system to help benefit us all. this country was founded by immigrants, we just need a better system in place to integrate them to American citizens. I do understand your use of religious verses because it seems in this country the christian right don't really understand what the bible says about everything.
I think some of the antis are not Christian or else how could they ignore this
Isn't it interesting ... everyone complains about God in the Pledge of Allegiance, the Christmas tree at the White house, and everything else within the government, but all of a sudden Christianity is the new justification for illegal immigration.

What about the last three commandments - Exodus 20: 15-17: "Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's house ... nor anything that is thy neighbors." Try to justify the people stealing identities, stealing tax dollars, stealing educations and healthcare. Demanding rights that belong to someone else, making awful claims against people that are just trying to be honest and obey the law.

This game can go both ways.

Anyhow, the U.S. government is a secular government, not a religious one. We hold the tradition of separation of church and state, as pointed out by Thomas Jefferson in a letter he wrote.
Beautiful!
I think it's just another excuse to try to make illegal immigrants look good, and an attempt to make us feel sorry for them and accept them.
Here is MY view on illegals!!

Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. America love it or leave it. Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Leave it Now. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
No, I don't...so your quotes mean nothing to me. One of the wonderful things about this country is we don't all have to believe in the same religion or even believe in one at all. If you are going to use Bible quotes though to justify illegals, what about this quote "Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the laws of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow." Romans 13:1-2 ? Entering the country illegally and staying here illegally (breaking these laws every day) is kinda against what the Bible says. We treat aliens well...we just ask that they follow the laws of the land...when they don't they are treated accordingly. You can't have it both ways.
