US Citizenship Ceremony?

A friend of mine is being sworn in later this month. (He is Nigerian) I wanted to get him a present and was thinking of getting a flag for him. Someone mentioned they believe that flags are given to the individuals at the ceremony. Is that true?

If so, what would be a good gift...

Answer:
I don't know if you'd have time to ask your Senator for one of the ones flown over the US capital, but they are available by clicking on 'constituent services' on your Senator's web page, and paying for the cost of the flag. It comes with a certificate.

The other ideas here are good too.
I think a framed copy of the Constitution or Declaration of Independence would be nice. Or something similar.
i think a flag would be great, or you could get him a flag pole and a post for the front of his house
This may sound crazy but how about a "Welcome" mat. He could put it at his front door to welcome guests and remember you for having welcomed him as a US citizen.

Just a thought.
