It's because Mexicans are the new "commie" the new scapegoat basically. Just recently there was a story on some "terrorists" who were planning to attack a military base. How convenient that they were illegal aliens, had affiliations with jihad and were eastern europeans. WOW! The government killed 3 birds with one stone. The next thing you know they will say that they crossed the U.S. Mexico border. 4 BIRDS!!!

I don't hate Mexicans BUT I do have no respect for illegal aliens, especially those who have the nerve to protest for more rights in a country they shouldn't even be in. I also have a problem with any immigrant who comes to the US and doesn't adapt to OUR language. I'm really tired of having to know Spanish just to order a Big Mac at McDonald's when I'm in the US. And, I'm tired of my tax dollars being spent on their medical bills so they can continue to have one baby after another in this country.

People aren't against Mexicans nor Mexican-Americans. They ARE against illegal Mexicans. The children of illegal immigrants -- from anywhere -- should not be given US citizenship.

Actually, you can point the finger of blame why there is so much negativity against Mexicans, the illegal Mexican immigration who are being smuggled to the U.S. by the Mexican coyotes.
i dont think that will happen for awile but basicly people hate on mexicans cuz most will work hard for less money than the greedy, lazy white man. most of our people are fine with a normal life and do not obsess over thinking they need to live in a 4 bedroom house with a 3 car garage and we dont feel that we need to have a maid and pool boy and gardener. we just want to beable to provide enough for our familys to live decent and if we want something done we do it ourselves instead of paying an outragous amout of money to have someone else do it for us. we just have better values than most.

It isn't Mexicans in general, it's the illegal immigrants that are coming into the US illegally that is giving the Mexican community a bad name.
I like Mexicans. I am having trouble seeing your point about stereotyping. The Illegal immigrants are not viewed well. They make it hard on the rest of the good Mexicans. When you start off breaking the law it is not a stretch to find them doing other criminal behaviors. I do not like the fact that people put me in a place where my work should be worth less because Mexicans work cheap. I over heard an employer say "You should not be asking for anything! I am paying you more right now than most of your people make. You do good work but I am not paying you more than the rest of your people get." It just goes to show there is not stereotyping it is taking advantage because you are brown. You are less than because you come here illegal. They want to believe you are illegal even if you were born here. It is just plain bigoted prejudice. Mexicans are the new blacks. Mexicans are treated like slaves and stereotyping is to good a term for it.
you need to be a natural born citizen to be US president so that will never happen. if mexicans want to stop being stereotyped then they shouldnt give themselves a reason to be stereotyped. apply for entry the legal way and stop expecting the US to assist them with food and housing. Tell them to stop being ungrateful to the US by marching in the streets for rights that they do not deserve. Tell them to give back the billions they have wasted on welfare and English as a second language programs and then we'll call it even.
personally i have nothing againt illegal mexicans all they want is a better life for them and their children they are hardworking (most of them) individuals who actually contributes to our economy even though they are illegal...they pay taxes, they do the jobs that are considered very demeaning to us, if they didnt do that we would have to do that crap ourselves...when it comes down to it they are doing everything nessary to stay alive just like us why should they be treated like crap because they dont have a card or paper that says they are a memeber of this country if the shoe was on the other foot you would do the same thing so take the tips of you noses from outter space. because this is really their continent their people inhabited north and south america before the europeans invaded and killed half of them off...and had to replace them with my people

That being said, I have nothing against Mexicans that legally immigrate here. They're fine in my book.
But ANYONE - I don't care where they're from - that comes illegally is a problem. It is purely a legality issue to me, not at all about cultures, races, nationalities, or anything else.

I never stereotype or hate "Mexicans." That's wrong. HOWEVER, I really hate the actions of the 20+ million ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS that are breaking our laws. There is a huge difference between hating a person and hating an action.
I understand your question, immigration is all in the news and everywhere that you look, some, and I am not saying all, Americans hear all of this and can only relate to the color of the skin. Just how would you know if a person is illegal or not? Most people do not know and unfortunately all of the immigration stuff is directed at ALL MEXICANS weather they are legal or not. That is just how it works. If someone can tell me how to tell if a person is illegal, please fill me in. Do not tell me the ones that are standing in front of the Home depot, that is not always true. And for your president comment, if the person was the one that I wanted to vote for, and of course they have to be an American, then I would not care what color they were or what sex they were.
