Since you think everything works better when it is run for money, you should be thankful that employers are paying substandard wages and not providing any medical coverage to illegal aliens. We could do a lot to solve the illegal alien problem by prosecuting the employers. That's something you supply and demand market economy adherents should easily understand. Of course a few bucks profit is more important than solving any of our social problems.
I hope you remember how well companies profit motive makes them run, the next time you need service from a large corporation or bank and you're put on hold for a half hour while your call gets routed to a call center in India, so someone can make an extra few busks to pay their worthless CEO.
