South African married to British person?

I'm South African and married to a British citizen... what is the story with him getting a South African passport???

Answer:
There shouldn't be a problem should there , I know that you could get a British one easy enough, I think it would just be a case of applying to the SA embassy and probably supplying your marriage certificates. Good Luck. Alex
lucky you are because of your .
you should be the one asking for a passport wives follow husbands your husband is not entitled to any passport except the one he has you are the one seeking a british passport.and you meet the criteria for one without a doubt.
A woman is entitled to apply for citizenship of the Country where her husband has Nationality. This is almost always granted. A husband has no right of citizenship in his wife's country of origin. He can still apply but is not likely to succeed.
I have no idea how this will apply in future to same sex partnerships.
The south african government has changed the rules with respect to passports and citizenship. If he has had a full south african passport and has not applied or received a non south african passport, then there will be not problem getting a sa passport. If he has had a UK passport and now wants an sa passport he may have difficulties.
He need to contact south africa house in London to find out were he stands.
