Tourist visa is out of question. In fact its a downright crazy idea. The very application for non immigrant visa, while being an intended immigrant can cause trobles. Second, even if by mistake they will give it to you, you will be stoped at the port of entry and deported. Thats will affect you immigrant visa as well.
So its better for them to come where you are.

No consular officer would give a tourist visa to someone who's family is living in the USA.
