How do I bring my baby born Abroad to the U.S immediately?

the same day I go to the embassy abroad? will I have to wait in that country for a passport and birth certificate to be issued for days or weeks

Answer:
If both parents of child are American citizens then you merely go to embassy to create a passport for the child when you have the birth certificate. It would do to get soon but no real hurry.
You can go the US embassy at a later date of your convenience. You do not have to rush now. The embassy should not take that long to issue you a paasport.
If you are a US citizen and have a US passport, you should be able to take the birth certificate with you and enter the country with him without making a special trip to the embassy. But I'd go and check on it first just in case.
