Will the pending immigration bill solve Americas immigration problems?

Answer:
Did it solve the situation in 1986? To answer you question no it will not, it will start the next wave. Much of the security in the bill is a joke, we will be lucky Bin Laden does not make it in... Not a substantial change from the laws we have now, and will not be enforced. As for the Amnesty (or whatever PC word we want to put on it) it did not work in 86, it will not work now...
No way!!We need help!
In a word no
HELL NO ! don't give amisty to the criminals !!
Oh no lord. The will grow to be even worse. Congress needs to just secure the border and enforce what we have on the book. When they show us they can do that, then we will be a little more trusting of this Bilge they are proposing in this piece of legislation.
No, the immigration law has been in effect for years, so why change it? Just because the law may be changed, doesn't mean that people aren't going to enter this country illegally, or even abide by the new law.
Are you kidding?
NO it won't. America has already established itself as a pushover when it comes to immigration, so having a law on the books will make no difference. It will not be enforced, and any attempts to enforce it will likely be drug into courts as a violation of civil rights and deemed unconstitutional. It's a pity.
How could it?
The borders are not secure so if we give 12 million a pass, why wouldn't more illegals want to come?
Our government is simply working towards the new world order.
Have you read it? It is so ugly and misshapen that even Frankenstein would turn away in disgust.

This is a true travesty on the part of our elected government.
if history is good judge, then it will make it worse, and chief cause is NAFTA. Employers can say flood the country with cheap labor or we will move elsewhere. Put tariff on any country that doesn't have some live-able wage standard to protect wages in the middle, and help other countries get there.
This bill is a free for all and will increase illegal border crossings. No Bill that deals with the immigration issue will be effective until the border itself is closed.
Those in political power believe that a closed border will hamper their agenda of a united western union similar to the European Union which is a step closer to getting rid of the sovereignity of nation states and forcing them to accept a Global community answerable to a centralized policing authority such as the United Nations. Kiss your individual freedoms goodbye.
If the government was really concerned with immigration we would have a wall already constructed by now.
Look at the way congress debates to death all the time they could be spending making decisions that make a difference.
America needs to step up to the plate and get involved by letting their desires known to their representatives.
If they was to let go of the pork spending that they attach to the bills we could see alot more done on our behalf.
Number one: close the border...then go after those who make it easy for the illegals to stay, the employers, the market of false ID making, the myth that anti-illegal immigration is an issue of family unification.
America is a nation of immigrants and it is through legal immigration and assimilation into the American experiment of a representative republic and not socialist democracy that we became the great country that the rest of the world is so hard pressed to be a part of.
You keep bailing water out of a sinking boat it is still a sinking boat. You have to plug the hole to keep it afloat. Close the border NOW!
I can't believe the American government has difficulty in dealing with illlegal immigrants.

There's a very, absolutely, clearly SIMPLE solution to illegal immigration....

DEPORT ALL OF THEM.

Period.

They are disobeying the laws that were created to protect the American people.

To follow the law, the government should deport these illegal immigrants immediately.

Use the military budget to catch them and deport them.

Simple.
Will opening the floodgates make the river go dry? Illegal immigration will increase like it did in 1986.
If they want to sneak in shot to kill!
No. It will just make it worse.
What America? Senor Bush is giving it away. America is never going to be the same. Shame, shame, on him!
Are you kidding? There is a caveat or broad exception to every enforcement provision, and it cuts the fence already enacted into law in half.

"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that just 16% of American voters believe illegal immigration will decline if the Senate bill is passed. Seventy-four percent (74%) disagree. That figure includes 41% who believe the Senate bill will actually lead to an increase in illegal immigration.

If voters had a chance to improve the legislation, 75% would "make changes to increase border security measures and reduce illegal immigration." Just 29% would" make it easier for illegal immigrants to stay in the country and eventually become citizens."
