How long will it take to receive my immigrant visa after it has been approved?
Answer:
Assuming your visa is to the U.S., the waiting period is indefinite.
And once you actually arrive here, there is zero guarantee that they will even recognize your visa. If the border guard just got dumped by a woman who looks like you and decides he wants you thrown in Gitmo, then you have a life of torture and gangbangs ahead of you -- with absolutely zero legal recourse!
WHY do you want to come to this country again? Why not live in a country that actually ADMITS not being free?
A travel visa? or a visa for immigration to a foreign country?
Call the embassy of the nation you plan to visit in your city (where you applied for the visa) and ask them.
It depends what consulate u have being submitted your request. Today we have resources as computers, so is fast. If many people applies at same time, or if u case is difficult may take some time. Do not pay attention to those Americans that are racist here. Usually they do not have even a passport and are treated by people more educated them them :)
it depends on what visa ur asking for.is it a skilled worker/independent visa?it's likely a more shorter waiting (6 months at a most) if its under these categories.
you are not giving enough info to answer, immediate relative, 2A, 2B, 3rd or 4th preference? but if you have been granted the immigrant visa then you already have your status and you are waiting for the card to come in the mail 2 weeks - 6 months, but lately 2- 4 weeks for card to be mailed.
