How does someone apply for citizenship in the US?
Answer:
wish I could help.
but I'm a UK resident, born here from a generations of English fore-fathers & I feel like an unappreciated alien in my own country.
to hell with it, just bring your wife and 7 kids and run across the border and we'll give you amnesty. that's what the president wants you to do
why?
You are suppose to go to the immagration office.Like anyone does what they are suppose to do...
These people are idiots. If you are applying for citizenship that means you are already legal in the US. Follow this link and you can get the application online.
www.uscis.gov
Just walk acrosst the border and Senor Bush will give you all the taxpayers money you want, and citizenship to boot. He is screwing up this country so much. What a dummy.
Go to uscis.gov for the details. If you truly mean 'citizenship' you need permanent residency first, for 5 years, or 3 if you got it through marriage. Then go to uscis.gov and put 'naturalization' in the search window. The requirements and study materials for the test will come up.
