If Mexicans are so poor in Mexico...why do they have SO many babies?

I've wondered the same thing! Possibly because the government will give them more money if they have more children, due to the fact that they are anchor babies (citizens) so the family is collecting welfare and food stamps for each child they have here in the US.
It's even more frustrating when they come to the US and have all those babies and the American tax payers have to flip the bill for all their kids. It seems like the poorer a person is, the more kids they have.
What else are they going to do with their spare time? If they are so poor, they sure as hell doesn't have the money to spend on road trips or anything like that. They just have sex, a cheap way of enjoying themselves.
So when they turn 9 or 10, they can work to support the family, why else?
Called lack of education. It sounds logic to you that hopefully have at least a high school education, but it may not for someone that barely made it to the third grade. And no, Mexicans in Mexico do not have eight children per family.

but if both people are not working and are around eash other all day, what else do that have to do but screw since they get checks in every month and need not work on improving their situation

their excuse for this the catholic religion does not believe in birth control and the majority is catholic, but what they fail to practice is the part of the catholic religion that says no sex before marriage!!! they rearrange everything to suit personal needs, even religion!!!
Because they love romance and just get caught up in the moment they decide not to use birth control. I agree the poorer u get the more u pop out babies like a machine.
Because to them, it's a sin to use birth control. I believe that's the main reason. Also, they were never taught to be responsible. It's perfectly normal to them to be barefoot and pregnant, spending their whole lives taking care of kids. They come from large families themselves and didn't get much of an education because they were probably too busy taking care of their siblings. So really, with no schooling what else do they have to do with their lives?
Large families have always been the way of the laborers. The more bodies the more work your family can do. You are in a service oriented trades and people are power. The Catholic background helps. Maybe they are just better lovers. There is strength in numbers.
because they love sex which explains the rapid STD rate amongst hispanics. they have multiple babies, not in Mexico but in the US so they can have residency on the bases of their "citizen" american born children and they dont stop popping them out.
Maybe they're so poor that they cannot even afford to use the birth control pill. I'm sure that has to be possible.

It is amazing that you all know so much about living in Mexico, how many of you with your hate filled logic have ever lived there? None I am sure, if I believed and posted every cliche I have ever heard about White USA citizens I would either get reported or be here all day...

Most Mexican families, including grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and children live under a same roof. So it's doesn't necessarily mean that they reproduce like rabbits. Living under one household gives it's benifits. Like for example, the grandparents, being too old to work, could take care of the house and the kids while the parents work for pay.
The media also tends to portray Mexico as poor and dirty. It's not all true. Sure, there are some poor places, but you know, America and pretty much the rest of the world has some poor cities. It's just how it rolls.
Because they use the Catholic religion as an excuse of not using birth control.. but the Bible says to use your common sense in things like that.. (not exact words but close enough)... they should use common sense to know if they cant afford them ... DONT HAVE THEM.

Because it is very important. You see, they have to come back to the lands that were illegally taken away from them back in 1846. So the best way for them to take those lands back is by having many babies that they can send on to California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Utah, parts of Oklahoma, etc. They're just populating their own lands and so they have to have many children to do so.
All they do is procreate..that's their entertainment!
Buffy, the bible doesn't say that. You better get out your bible and read it again because it says nothing about not having children. In fact it says the opposite. It says to go forth and reproduce nothing is said in it about only if you can afford to have them that is a US idea.
However, all of you have it wrong about Catholicism. Catholics do not believe in unatural birth control such as hormone induced, because it is an abortion per se. They do permit natural forms of birth control. However, this has more to do with poverty, lack of sources, and the fact that in areas such as agriculture you need a big family. If we look back to the 60's in the US all of us came from huge families too. In fact my grandfather was one of 8 and my grandmother was one of 14 and that was in Texas. My husband was from a family of 8. My mother was from a family of 6. I had one. I don't use birth control such as the pill, never had to. A person not smart enough to figure out their cycles and bodies is who needs to stuff their body with things that cause more problems than they prevent is who does this.
