they are criminals, they raise the crime rate, bring in drugs and diseases, lower our education standards, murder innocent americans everyday, besides the child molesting, and statutory rape, they disrespect this country and our flag, bring down property values, the way they leave their countries and come here is cowardly. take jobs americans do want and need, they make our poor, poorer.they don't belong here unless they are willing to do it legally!!! everyday life and the media is enough evidence for anyone!!!
Illegal Immigrants are also human being like us. The overstay in a country , different people has different reason for that. Most of them are economical refugees.
As long as they are living with out indulging in crime they should be considered for permanent stay. While doing so, should be screened their past in that country and in other countries where they lived in the past. If they have any criminal record then they should be removed from the country and deported to their mother land.
If Ill legal immigrants are taken some job, paid tax, improved their standard and participated in community events, and shown interest and ability to mix with main stream community and does not believe too much in one religion than I think it is better for the country to consider granting them permanent stay.
In my opinion an Illegal immigrant is hundred times better person than a citizen who is living on social security, who is addicted to drugs. You can not prove that illegals have taken your job. They have got the opportunity to work despite their disadvantage as ill legal is because some citizen refused to work, and some employer needs more worker to run the factory.
If permanant stay can not be possible than consider giving them 4 years work permit. Give them a chance to prove that they are as good as legal immigrant.
Doing this, will definetly attract more people to be illegal. The government must make the law more strict for those people to enter the country.

Immigrants that work and educate themselves for a better future for themselves and their families -I say power to them. They often take jobs that a lot of people won't-hard labor & gardening jobs for example because they come here to strive to better their lives which sadly would not be possible to achieve in their own countries. I am mexican american and I love my people and I love my country as well so this is my point to view: I've never seen a latino or an asian homeless or asking for money on freeway off ramp. Now for the Rednecks answer: You are sterotyping immigrants becuase not all of them are like that. I do however have an issue with immigrants as well as american citizens asking for welfare, foodstamps becuase they are too damn lazy to work! I can understand that point of view. If you are going to come here to become a thug, tag up the walls, steal , kill, ask for assistance from the government that tax those who work to support you, and to come here and receive a free education and have the nerve to get bad grades when in 3rd world countries there is no free education-then go back to your country. First of all, let's drop the word immigration from this debate, True IMMIGRANTS obtain residency legally, if they come illegally they are just trespassers and must be dealt with as such. I.E. I climb the security fence at ANY US corporate giant, or the securtiy fence of any small business for that matter, how about your backyard? Am I not a trespasser and will I not be treated as such? Do you think they would allow me to stay inside thier fence with impunity? Gee, let me pitch a tent and live there as well! While I'm camped in your yard could you supply me with a job, and public health care? Also if born here to Illegal trespassers a child should only be awarded citizenship in the country their parents originated from, (Note, change of law required for this one). I feel this way as a natural born citizen of this country and by citizen parents I might add, I have every right as an AMERICAN citizen to feel this way.
Illegal immigrants are here ILLEGALLY. This is a crime. They need to be deported. This whole issue is getting ridiculous. We allow 2 million immigrants legally in the US each year. What more do people want from us? There are more hispanics than any other minority combined at my kid's high school. Some of them can't even speak English.
They are people too, yes, I know. But really. C'mon.
