It also complements Calderon's emphasis on the rule of law. Unlike his predecessor, Vicente Fox, who sought amnesty for illegals in the U.S., he is urging the U.S. to accept more legal workers to end border chaos.

The high wages available north of the border not only break up families and empty out small towns. They also give Mexico's young an excuse to pass up school to labor in the U.S. at such jobs as picking produce, leaving them unskilled.

Hmmm. Only took the Mexican government a COUPLE HUNDRED YEARS to start thinking about an economy that doesnt involve sending 20 million illegal workers to the US. Way to go, Cheif! Another 200 years or so, you'll be OUT OF THE DARK AGES!!

The illegals pay into our Soc. Sec. with stolen ID's. That money may be helping Soc. Sec. for now, but how much is going to be left for those Baby Boomers beginning to get Soc. Sec. now? And, does their contributions amount to enough to cover all the illegal aliens who are beginning to suck up those funds as well? I don't think so. As for Calderon's plans to encourage young people back to Mexico, it's a great idea, now that half of them have sent billions back and probably have enough money there to start a business and own a house, yeah, now bring 'em home. Now, that they've sucked billions out of the USA. Better late than never, though. I hope it works. Maybe he finally figured out what 'Brain Drain' is, and decided the drain needed to stop. I hope it helps their country. I believe if more would leave our country, WE'D benefit from it, too.
