Who would you rather have come over the US?
And why?
Answer:
Germans. The vast majority of Americans in the US today have ancestors who were German (check my first source). They adapted to law & culture perfectly fine. Also, Germany has the highest IQ than any other nation in Europe (check my second source - it's 102 & tied with Austria)... so I'd assume they'd be of an asset. Mexico on the other hand has an IQ of 87 (US currently has an IQ of 98)... yes, it's sad isn't it?
Germans - simply because I'm part German and I like them!

Can we trade all our current illegals for one million legal immigrants from either country, or from various countries? If I have to pick, though, I'd say Germans. We already have millions of Mexicans.

Do you really think that you will get an unbiased answer? Most white americans have german roots so duh they are gonna choose germans.
I would prefer both, as long as they came here legally and didnt try to outsmart the system
Mexicans, they are Part Indians and Part Spain Just like me.
Why should we choose between those two? Germans have no need to come here, their country is in a good shape. Mexicans, on the other side, are victims of American Imperialism and should be repaid for what was taken away from them.
As long as they spoke or were willing and able to assimilate and learn English, and were spread across the country, I'd go for either one.
