i have been struggling with racial issues for some time now and i am soo tired of being angry. i dont hate anyone one person or anyone one race to say but i hate situations that just make me full of rage. i am a social worker in wa state and each day i see more and more instances of people who are citizens or at least trying to be citizens being denied benefits and welfare while illegal immigrants who just come in and hold their hand out for cash are allowed alot more then in my opinon they deserve. i had to learn spanish because over 36 thousand illegal aliens in my city alone decide to not make an effort to learn the laungauge of the country the leech onto i have meet some really great mexican americans who have worked hard and at least tried to learn some english and become citizens whom i have a great deal of respect for as well as some russian immigrants and one hilarous morrocan that would be a great teacher. am i racist for being angry that my country is slowly being taken?

I can see how you feel. I am an immigrant here for 6 years, and every day I spent here I worked really hard, went to college, paid taxes and did all kind of social work. I did in 6 years more than some Americans do in all their life. I get mad when I see all this people wasting their time for stupid things, getting in jails because they are not able to manage their lives properly, as well as new coming immigrants who get here and think that piles of money are waiting for them on the streets, and they get so disappointed that that they have to work a little harder than everyone else. You are not racist, you just, apparently, don't like injustice and lack of respect and appreciation for your country (plus laziness). Everyone would feel the same way, especially, due to your job, because you see it every day and it starting getting on your nerves. Move to New England, no Hispanics here (it's too cold). At least you clearly recognize that not every immigrant is the same, and there are more freebies than good people.
