Any racial slur aimed at white people is acceptable because we are the "oppressors" and not the "oppressed".
Probably because while it's not meant as a compliment, it actually means "foreigner." So it wouldn't really be recognized as a racial slur, even though it is used that way. Much like "cracker," which can either be a derogatory term for Caucasians, or a tasty snack.

Like most racial slurs and political correctness they don't apply if used against a white person by a minority. Double standard you say? Yes.
Because it refers to a white person. People who have skin that isn't pasty fish-belly white also have words that refer to their race or (apparent) home country. Due to the politically-correct crowd, those words for non-white people are all listed as offensive and therefore they are hate-speech. White people are ignored when they cry about racial discrimination.
I'm not playing down the problems with gender-based discrimination, but the massive majority refers to males discriminating against females. Females discriminating against males does happen, it just doesn't make the news. It's not CNN-quality news. No one really cares. Same thing with discriminating against whites. No one cares, so it doesn't make the news.

gringo is by no means a racial slur. It denotes a person of caucasian descend. Well, in my country "gringo" is not a word use to offend anybody.

This questions sums up racial bias against anglos being ignored by the modern world. I take exceptiuon to being called "Gringo"; it matters not what origin the word comes from, nor does it matter what the author meant to say, simply put, it is offensive and that is enough.
A U.S. senator recently used the word "Nigardly" in a speech and caught hell from black organizations; the word is in the dictionary and is a valid English word. The Senator was forced to be "politically correct" and offer an apology.
To your question, why does Yahoo not recognize "Gringo" as a racial slur. My answer is ; I don't think anyone has turned the heat on anyone yet regarding How Anglo's expect to be treated.
Anglos are "white" while most other races are refered to as "hispanic"; "African American" ect. They are given entitlement based on political gain; they have organizations like LULAC and the NAACP that represent their views; simply put, they have a small focused political voice while anglos rely and trust the current system and remain silent while casting all the votes that run the system, we appear, content at that.
If Anglos were to be afforded the same equal racial treatment as other Americans of non-Anglo Ancestry, we would be "German Americans"; Celtic or Irish Americans. I prefer this as it brings Anglos to eye level with other Americans and puts it right into perspective that we are All equal, as Americans; to often non-Anglo races use the "race card" to gain something they feel may elude them if they did not mention...they were Black....Asian, Johnny Cochran did just that in the OJ. trial as he had little else to appeal to the jury with as O.J. was as guilty as guilty gets.
If Anglos were to have a political representation, like an Anglo NAACP...."AAACP" I can see those non-Anglo Americans already calling the organization "Racist". As far as I know, Any Anglo organization that rears it's head is called racist right away.

For whatever reasons, any "white organization" can easily be deem as a racist organization, unfair as Anglos need a voice today to politically make it right for them, or, maybe we should drop all the NAACP AND LULAC organizations and start acting as ONE NATION AND HAVE CURRENT LAWS EMNFORCED CORRECTLY, ABSENT POLITICS.

I am not offended by anything any one calls me. They are simply words not bullets. Words cant hurt me unless I enable them to hurt me. I don't use any race related words in my questions or my answers. I simply post facts and verifiable truth. Backed up by links from credible sources. The rhetoric and propaganda that is used on here does nothing to add credence to ether's argument. I can get my point across clearly without resorting to name calling. I don't consider gringo a term of disrespect here in Baja Mexico, we are divided in connotation between Mexicans and gringos. A local term of identification. "Put that plywood in the truck of the old gringa", for example. I'm also known as Dona, Abuela, Viuda... Chill out, people.
