considering that since the founding of our nation, we have consistantly had about 5=8% enrolllment in our army by non-citizens, I think history shows that aliens and natives will both fight to defend our pursuit of happiness, our liberty, and our lives.
They will be drafted right along with you. Past experience indicates that a higher percentage of them would volunteer than the people who are citizens by an accident of birth.

Illegal immigrants have fought in past wars and they are fighting in Iraq and many of them have died. The way they get in to the military ranks being illegal is by the government expediting their legal status so that they can serve. Also a large number of the military is made up of sons and daughters of illegal aliens, meaning that they were born here to parents that don't have a legal status, so to answer your question they probably won't run away from the draft, unlike wealthy americans that can send their
kids abroad to dodge the draft, immigrants are here to stay and you will be surprise to see how many of them are willing to give their lives to protect this country. You on the other hand don't have to worry about being drafted, because they have an IQ requirement in the military even in times of war
