they pay taxes with tax id numbers or made-up social security numbers.
none of the ones i know get any government assistance.
they are the cleanest people i know. (besides my grandma, who is really a freak about cleanliness)
education is very important to them.
they understand family values and true friendship.
coming here was very difficult for them and they would have come here legally if they could have.
they are not here to reclaim land for mexico, but to support their families.

Did you know it can take up to 10 years to even begin to APPLY for a legal immigration process...the charge for that paper work is between 3,000-5,000 DOLLARS. How do you pay that fee on a 3,000/year salary? Of course for other nationalities like central or south americans (and many others) while still not easy, is not this hard. Mexican nationals have it the hardest. A curse and a blessing at the same time for being the most populated and closest country to the US.

and to let you know, my life is hard too. i don't live in a very nice place. i work hard and i follow the rules. i also find it hard to imagine lots of illegals PAYING a coyote thousands, but not being able to pay the few thousand for a LEGAL APPLICATION FOR CITIZENSHIP

Those social secuiry numbers are not made up... they are stolen. And I encourage you to visit a nearby hospital's ER on any given night... and then come back and tell us they don't want any assistance. Then visit a local hgh school and see what percentage of the Hispanic freshman class graduated when they were seniors. Then tell us how important education is. Do some research on gangs, such as the MS13 and then we'll talk about family values and friendships.
Yes to all of that but no on the SSN, my mom waited many years so she can get her SSN. also my step dad.
I agree with the other poster. There is a right way and a wrong way for everything you do.
I know a guy who is a wonderful person ... hard worker, good family man and due to an accident, he is about to lose his house and needs $30,000 to save it.
Now he's a good person, who never did anything illegal and doesn't deserve the bad breaks that he got but that doesn't mean he has the right to do something illegal to better his life - like rob a bank.
These people got a rough break, being born into horrible conditions, I agree 100% on that but they must do the right thing and apply to come into our country legally.
We have laws for a reason, so why are we cheering people who break those laws. No matter what the reaons are for breaking them, it does not excuse the fact that they broke the law.
I've known more than one hard-working Mexican illegal man.
One that I knew, came to the U.S. a while ago. He worked as a paletero. He walked in the hot sun all day. He told me that he got assaulted and somebody took all his money one day. I think they made him pay the money that was stolen from him.
He ended up in a better job, and I NEVER saw him even call in SICK once.
He supports his wife and his granddaughter. He works another job on weekends to do so.
Cleanest people you know...go there and drink the water or just drink out of the toilet,same thing!

They get ungodly amounts of government assistance. Schooling, medical care, housing and food. All the cool things their beloved home country would not provide for them.
Children of illegal immigrants have an extremely high drop-out rate.
I wonder if the family values and friendship you speak of refers to the alarming rate of illegals in street and prison gangs.
"they are not here to reclaim land for mexico" they may not be here to reclaim land , but many illegals choose not to assimilate into the American culture. They want to be mexicans in America instead of Hispanic Americans or whatever term you choose .

i feel this is a scam to get election votes from legalize immigrants that votes , the Spanish community, and other communities every year they discuss immigration but does it really pass. their are many hard working, educated immigrants in this country
why cant the govt give the honorable hard working immigrants a chance, they need to remember America is made of different culture, race etc. the govt, senators, and president needs to remember their history this was the native Indians land and that their ancestors came from across the water( England, France, etc.)
A lot of the illegals are good workers but they come here by breaking the law. The first thing they need to do is to put up the fence, stop all immigration, no more visas until this mess is cleared up. While the fence is being built, which needs to start this week not months from now, they need to round up the criminals and deport them. If they decide to let some of them have amnesty,they should make them work on the infrastructure of this country, building roads, etc. and let them work out the fine. If they (Congress) is going to give them all the freebees, then that's not fair or right for the citizens who have lived here all their lives and worked hard for their pay.
If it is voted this way, then the American people have been

It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Notice that despite the fact that the women freed by police and immigration officers were immigrants themselves, other immigrants in the neighborhood protested the arrest.

I went to school with them and lived near them they were filthy and illiterate even when getting an education they had no right to get and lord knows that they are such upright and moral people I only had to fight them every day in school for trying to grope my sister or any one of her friends Yeah great group of scumbags and now as an adult I go through the same thing every night at work with our poor oppressed neighbors from the south
