The sole reason of why there is so much animosity with this immigration bill.the reason why this is so contraversial. the reason why every american is so scared. Most (but not all) illegals stay here because they HAVE to. To jump back and forth across the border is too risky, they'll get caught, so they live here to work and send money back to their families. They love Mexico and don't want the "American Dream", they realize its just hollow consumerism in disguise. If they could come easily and legally (meaning they'd pay taxes), work temporarily then return, it would be perfect.
I think a better question is, why do people think "guest worker program" translates into "amnesty"? I'm serious! Someone please REALLY explain that one to me!
