Would a full scale war between U.S. militia and Mexican drug lords finally prompt the building of the wall?

No because both sides need to use the illegal immigrants to get elected therefore until political party's are gone, the illegals will stay for party platform reasons.

The wall was in Berlin and it did not work there. It will not work here.
The Government responds when there is a profit to be made, or if rich voters are affected.
The government made the drug lords when they outlawed pot. The government made the smugglers a profitable enterprise when they passed the laws that made what normal people do illegal.
Stop relying on the Government and start obeying the law. Do not hire an illegal to save tax money. If they have no jobs to come to they will stop coming.
If that happened, the governement of the United States of Norte Mexico would throw all the militia into prison for violating the mexican drug lords civil rights, and deport them.
Two days later, drug lords would jump the border and be back in the game.
