How (Why) is it that illegal aliens have civil rights, let alone the right to sue the LAPD?
Answer:
Actually, the rights of illegal immigrants are not guaranteed in the Constitution. The Constitution is for citizens and legal immigrants. Lawbreakers can be enslaved and incarcerated. We have become a morally and legally and ethically corrupt nation. With 12-20 million illegal immigrants disobeying any law they want and getting away with it, they will do whatever they want. It's up to us citizens to put a stop to their bs and when they sue we should counter sue for public endangerment and return of all the law-enforcement costs and welfare and educational costs that we have incurred on their illegal behalf. Hey, there's an idea! Let's all us citizens get together and file a class action discrimination suit against the government for giving illegal immigrants a pass on the laws.
Once subject to our laws, they are also entitled to all the protections under those laws. In other words, you can't rape the women and beat the crap out of the guys because they're here illegally.
It's guaranteed in the constitution. The United States does not believe in inhumane treatment of anyone legal or not.
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the Constitution's guarantees apply to every person within U.S. borders, including "aliens whose presence in this country is unlawful."
Most people facing deportation are entitled to:
* a hearing before an immigration judge and review, in most cases, by a federal court;
* representation by a lawyer (but not at government expense);
* reasonable notice of charges, and of a hearing's time and place;
* a reasonable opportunity to examine the evidence and the government's witnesses;
* competent interpretation for non-English speaking immigrants, and
* clear and convincing proof that the government's grounds for deportation are valid.

Ah, yes... but we still hold the power & right of the vote ... that counts!!
I don't know. As far as I am concerned, they should have called in ICE and deported all of them. It makes me sick to think that this country bows to foreigners who have no rights to be here much less to protest.
1. Human rights, not civil rights.
2. How do you justify the baton beating of reporters covering the march? They are US citizens.
This is the United States, not the crappy country they came from. Besides civil rights, they have the right to welfare, medicaid, food stamps and generally sucking off of us.
