Will a speeding offence-3 points & £60 fine, affect my eligibilty for an Australian working visa?
Answer:
A speeding offence is not a conviction in the sense of a criminal conviction. This speeding offence will have no bearing on whether or not you are accepted for a working visa.
No, you need to steal a loaf of bread as well.
yes, if you have no regards for the law in your own country, then why would you respect theirs, that's how they will think, you will have to wait 3 years for the conviction to be spent and the points removed from your licence. only joking, i don't know, good luck anyway.
Answer No. They are looking for criminals, not you.
Go out there & enjoy yourself.
You will find that points make prizes.
No , it is a very trivial offence. People speed in OZ as well.
No, it will not affect your application at all.
You have to pass the character test (criminal history check). You will automatically be considered a person of bad character if you have been sentenced to a custodial sentence (imprisonment) of 12 months or more at any time within 10 immediately preceding the application lodgement date. A custodial includes a suspended sentence as it is still a custodial sentence.
Please note that you the criminal history statement you will be asked to obtain and produce includes any offence, spent or not, or committed whilst a juvenile or not in you whole life.
However, UK criminal record keeping is patchy and many offences and even peoples entire criminal histories have been lost over the years and so a person with even a severe criminal matter in their past can get a "clean" record letter
Yours is nothing to worry about so simply go and enjoy your visit. Please note people travelling to Australia will often fall in love with the place and want to stay, BUT, because they will be travelling and because of the work restricting imposed by the visa, will normally no longer meet the work experience requirement.
In order to migrate (and stay) on a skilled 136 visa, you must have been in your occupation for at least 12 out of the last 18 months. As you will almost certainly have been out of your skilled occupation for many of the 12 months, then you will fail this test and will need to return to the UK to work for a complete year before becoming able to apply for permanent residence.
Hope this is helpful - Good luck with your holiday
ps: do not make jokes about anything to do with quarantine or immigration when you arrive unless you really want the full body cavity search - No, I am NOT joking about this We take it seriously
